The Hope Model

Every child deserves a chance to thrive

One model that scales two ways, in person and online, each side making the other stronger. This is the founding case for two initiatives that extend Hope Institute's reach and deepen its impact.

Transforming care for orphans and vulnerable children
The Hope Model

Hope Institute does not run homes. It multiplies the care already happening.

Hope Institute strengthens the systems that care for orphans and vulnerable children, working at the intersection of training, research, and advocacy.

The Hope Model scales two ways. In person, through a founding campus that roots the work in real practice. Online, through a platform with no limit on reach. Each side makes the other stronger.

The Need

Most children leaving care are not thriving

At least 2.7 million children are growing up in residential care worldwide, and most never grow into self-sufficient adults. This figure is widely acknowledged to be a significant undercount. The cost of that gap is measurable.

These outcomes are not inevitable. The landmark Positive Outcomes for Orphans study found that when children in residential care experience high-quality, intentional care, they achieve outcomes comparable to family-raised peers.

Two ways we multiply your gift

Hope Institute does not run homes. We strengthen the care already happening through one model that scales two ways, in person and online, each side making the other stronger.

In Person20+ homesOne campus trains every home in its region.
OnlineNo limitOne platform trains caregivers in any country.
Two parts of one model, each making the other stronger.

Both reach the same goal: thousands of children growing into thriving adults, at a fraction of the cost of running homes.
